I ain't shit. I am not a doctor. Not even close to being a lawyer or engineer. I can barely put together an outfit that doesn't include some form of a white t-shirt, Chuck Taylors, or jeans . I don't have the physique that you see in muscle magazines and I don't possess the ability to play a sport for a bunch of money. I am not that good with the ladies and I never been the most popular guy in the group.

But  I can speak in front of twenty thousand people and not break a sweat. I can write you something that will fill you with joy, rage, or hope at my discretion. I can write a song or rap that you will carry in your head for the rest of the day.  I am a leader. My words are golden. I am not a fighter or a lover. I am an entity that believes that as long as you work hard you deserve anything you can place your hands upon freely. You were placed on this earth to show that man is just an animal with the sense of reason and the ability to mentally make ourselves feel safe in the most terrifying situations. Your job as a human is to remain you and never falter from the fact. And that in itself is always an impossible goal

Mid Level Marketing Retards

             Do you want to be part of a scam? Do you want a warm and cozy feeling as you trick your friends and family into paying for a membership into a club that will never benefit them in any way? I my friend have the answer. It's called Mid Level Marketing. It is also known as a Pyramid Scheme. You secure that your place in "The Middle" will always be a step up from the next person you conjure into the scenario.

             I am going to go out on a limb here and state that if you belong to one of these programs you most likely long for feelings of acceptance or strive for one day to be the one wielding the big stick. Good Luck. Life, Nature, and Time will always have the final verdict.  I personally think you're a pussy. If you cannot touch and feel the product I firmly believe that you should stay away from the investment potential. Most of these programs cost a few hundred to a few thousand to join. Just enough to make a profit but not enough if your money somehow disappeared into the mix. Nice move pyramid schemer.  The goal of these programs is to get more members so you benefit from there initial membership cost. Twenty, fifity, one hundred kickbacks start to add up. But so do the phone calls when people want to get paid and they want their investment back.

             Any true investment takes time to mature and prosper. Especially if that investment is to last .

Donald Trump never did dick for me and Monavie doesn't help me wake up in the morning and fight the powers that be.

          Here are a few Mid Level Marketers you may have heard of; Zombies, Vampires, Pimps, Slave Traders, and Herpes. All take one individual to truly want to exploit others around them with tales of riches, love, warmth, and growth, but must maintain that the risk is solely on the back of your victim. I mean client. I meant to say client .

Reconnecting with the past

Tonight I get the pleasure of having dinner with some of my old roommates from Chico State University. I miss those guys. I miss watching cartoons at 2 in the afternoon and spending 20 dollars to drink until I puked. What I don't miss is having to wear dirty clothes because it wasn't laundry day and  the constant sound of bass pumping through the streets of Chico.

We have come a long way from being students with dreams to businessmen with bills. That's life though. You have to keep growing, creating, tearing down and rebuilding. Hold on to your past and remember it fondly because now you can use it as drive for future endeavors . It was a great time being a young college student but those days are gone and the only thing I have school related now are the god damn student loans  

Get on track or step on back

You got to do you. Always. That doesn't mean that you don't love someone with all your heart or make sacrifices for important people in your life. What it means is if you want to get the most juice out of the "Orange of Life" you got to do what works for you . Everyone needs love and companionship , but we also need drive and purpose.

The best part about staying on track for your goals is you are constantly reminded by your wants when you surround yourself with positive thought and ideas. My New Year's Resolution is about immersing myself in the things I enjoy. With every attempt of staying away from too much of the expensive things I enjoy like weed and alcohol.  Things like working out, playing and creating music, and giving my time to coaching rugby . I couldn't do any of this stuff if I didn't have the support of my girl. I love that chick. She knows it's important to me to be involved in a lot of projects at once. It probably bugs the shit out of her when I spread myself thin but she know the importance.

So take that first step and get into something strictly for you with no thought of entertaining anyone except yourself .

January is always the worst

Though it is the month that holds my fantastic birthday it has also held  a place in my heart as the most financially and emotionally FUCKED UP month of them all. It seem that all my problems seem to accumulate during the beginning of the new year. My car registration is due, which means old parking tickets get paid too. I usually get my pitifully tiny W-2 which reminds me that I am a piece of shit and hold little or no weight in the corporate world.  And along with the thought that I am another year older it all combines to make for treacherous emotional hurricane that can bring the strongest of individuals to their knees . But then I look towards February . And with February comes March and behind that is summer.  But unfortunately it is still January and I will find myself going through the motions to get through the month with technically only one bright day in it. And that day has already passed . Please give me the strength to get to February .

Dominique Wilkins



      Yup yup. I am 33 years old today. What a waste of talent and good looks, I know. Though it is my glorious birthday I also share it with a few other unique individuals. So as a salute I wish them a very happy birthday too.

      Firstly, it is the birthdays of 2 Super American Athletes Joe Frazier and Dominique Wilkins . Joe Frazier  known as also known as Smokin Joe was an Olympic and World Champion Boxer from 1965 to 1976 with a brief comeback in 1981. Dominique Wilkins or Jacques Dominique Wilkins was nicknamed the "Human Highlight Film and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 .



     Next up are two of my favorite comedians. They are the twins Jason and Randy Sklar, professionally known as the Sklar Brothers. Once part of the Greatest Show ESPN Classics ever produced,  Cheap Seats. Their upbeat and sarcastic humor has sealed a place in my heart for eternity.



Raekwon





    Let's take a look at some notable musicians that are celebrating January 12th birthdays today. Rob Zombie, the musician, and film film director is 46 today. Raekwon of the 9 member Wu-Tang clan  is 41 today. He has been working with a friend of mine Doey Rock. I wish them both the best of luck in 2011. Lastly of the musicians I would like to note is the lesser known of the touring Green Day members, Jason Freese . He has worked on over 50 albums producing, playing sax as well as keyboards to the likes of NOFX, Zebra Head, and Jewel.



Next we are on to the January 12th birthdays of possibility the two most famous radio personalities in the 20th century. They couldn't be any different except for the fact that they may both be billionaires one day. It is the birthday of none other than Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh . Both are a little too much for me but they must be doing something right.



Maharishi Mahesh Yogi



Lastly, it is also the birthday of the founder of "Neo-Hindu" and the man that changed The Beatles Maharishi Mahesh Yogi . His empire was also possibly in the billions. Standing at a little over five feet tall he was quoted in 1967 writing "being happy is of the utmost importance. Success in anything is through happiness. Under all circumstances be happy. Just think of any negativity that comes at you as a raindrop falling into the ocean of your bliss".



ME

It feels good to share a birthday with so many icons. It makes me want to strive to be great. But the only thing I am striving for today is not feel like I'm 34. I am only 33 people! Anyone I missed I apologize and I wish you a Happy Birthday!

Not enough flossing

It should be the metaphor for today's society. We just aren't flossing enough . Think about it, flossing takes work. It takes time, but the effects are lasting . At first it can be painful, as it should be, your sticking porous string between your teeth. But after every time your gums and teeth get stronger.

Most people want to use mouthwash or electric toothbrushes thinking that using chemicals or machines can do a better job. The media tells us that  too much fluoride is now a bad thing. So what is stopping people from taking the time to properly flush your pearly whites ? It's the notion that it is not NEW, HIP, or PAIN FREE. But lets face it, nothing that is supposed to last has anything to do with the for mentioned adjectives. Life is like that. The quick, fast and easy routes are the first ones to fail .

So next time you get that piece of food in your teeth, don't rinse, or pick at it. just grab the spool of floss and give it a shot. Your chompers will thank you later .
